PERU ADVENTURE TRIP:  SEPTEMBER 6-12, 2009

CHILE  SKI AND SIGHTSEE TRIP: SEPTEMBER 12-20, 2009

Two of your favorite trip leaders, Fitz and Tomi Rawls, will be taking a lucky group of Ski Club members to South America to explore, sightsee and ski the best known areas of Peru and Chile. We have reserved great hotels, found economical air transportation and booked knowledgeable English-speaking guides to ensure our travelers the best views of the incredible scenery and ancient sites in Peru. A few months ago Fitz visited these sites with Beyond Boundaries Travel, our tour operator for over ten years! In Chile, we have a choice of ski in-ski out hotels at Valle Nevado. In Santiago, we have a well located downtown hotel to enable us to easily see that remarkable old Spanish city. Several different types of air are available to suit your needs so you can pick and choose the trip elements you prefer. PERU SUMMARY September 6-12, 2009

NOTE: Our air departs Miami the afternoon of Sep. 6, arrives in Lima that night, where the Peru trip officially begins.

• See Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cuzco (ancient Inca capital), and the exciting new/old city of Lima (Spanish capital of all South America and current capital of modern Peru).
• Includes 6 nights lodging at well located, modern hotels at each site as indicated in the itinerary.
• Includes all breakfasts, several dinners, all tours, guides, site entrance fees, all ground transportation, domestic air in Peru, fees and taxes (except departure tax). Just about everything!
• Optional add-on trips to the Amazon Basin, Lake Titicaca and Nazca.
• Plenty of time for shopping and sightseeing on your own.

CHILE SUMMARY   September 12-20, 2009

NOTE: Our air for this week departs Miami the afternoon of September 12 and arrives in Santiago that night. Those joining us from Lima will arrive that afternoon. The Chile trip begins with hotel accommodations that night.

• Includes four nights lodging in the 3 star Hotel Tres Puntas, ski in-ski out, at Valle Nevado, (the best ski area in Chile!).
• All breakfasts and dinners and unlimited lift tickets (5 days) at the ski area.
• Upgrades available in Valle Nevado to 4 star and 5 star hotels.
• Three nights in Santiago, including breakfasts: 1 night on arrival, 2 nights on departure at downtown 4 star Hotel El Bosque.
• Panoramic city tour of Santiago.
• Free time to explore on your own.
• Ground Transfers to/from Santiago and Valle Nevado, and to/from hotel and airport.

We are joining other ski clubs in Miami for these great excursions. The basic trips are priced as “ground only” starting in Lima and Santiago respectively. You have all these travel options:

• Purchase your own air from a convenient gateway airport and join us in South America.
• OR use frequent flyer or awards points and join us in South America.
• OR join us in Miami and use our Group Air for the rest of the trip.
• OR call the Bowen Travel office and let us reserve air from Tampa or other gateways to tie into the Miami Group Departure.

Put the trip together any way you want, pay for just what you need. But, DO NOT DELAY, only a certain number of spaces are available and with other clubs selling the trip, it may be gone before we know it!

A DEPOSIT OF $500 IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE YOUR SPACE FOR PERU AND CHILE, $300 FOR EACH ADD-ON TRIP. Balance is due June 1, 2009. Cancellations prior to June 1 are refundable, less $50. Passports are required for travel to South America but no visas are necessary. Minimum participation may be necessary for certain add on trips.
